Grant for companies affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in areas affected by major natural disasters

A new grant call for supporting companies affected by Covid-19 and, at the same time, natural disasters of the year 2021 was signed today by the responsible Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Giannis Tsakiris.

The budget of the program is 26 million euros and is addressed to companies of all legal forms that operate legally and are active in the areas affected by natural disasters in the prefectures of Evia, Larissa and Heraklion.

The action has already been approved by the relevant Services of the European Commission, is co-financed in the context of the European Union response to the COVID-19 React EU pandemic and concerns Small, Medium and Large Enterprises.

Subsidy

The subsidy for each company amounts to a fixed percentage of 50% of its operating expenses as they are extracted from its recent tax data.

Advantage is given to companies established in the midst of the pandemic or within the year 2021.

The maximum amount of the grant is € 18,000 per company.

In all cases, the grant is reimbursed as a lump sum with the obligation of spending it within 6 months from the approval / inclusion.

Conditions for participation

  • legal operation
  • started working until 31.12.2021
  • Registration (headquarters, branch, etc.) in the above areas
  • 10% turnover decline between 2019 and 2021 (the criterion does not apply to companies that started operating in 2020 or 2021)

Applications & Evaluation

The applications are submitted to the State Aid Information System (ΠΣΚΕ) of the Ministry of Development and Investment at www.ependyseis.gr only electronically without the requirement to submit a Physical Folder of supporting documents from 13/5/2022 and time 12:00 until 17/6/2022 and time 15:00.

The evaluation of the submitted Funding Applications is done with the method of direct procedure with adherence to priority time order. The disbursement of the grant takes place within ten days immediately after the approval of the submitted funding application without the obligation to submit a second in a row relevant Request.
