Processing of Fishery & Aquaculture Products – New Action 2.2.3

The new Action under the Programme “Fisheries, Aquaculture & Sea” supports investments for the establishment, expansion, and modernization of processing units for fishery and aquaculture products, with emphasis on innovation, added value, and sustainability.
Objectives of the Action
- Development of new, high added-value products.
- Modernization of processes, systems, and production organization.
- Strengthening environmental sustainability (RES, emission reduction, waste management).
- Reduction of operating costs.
- Transition to circular economy models.
- Utilization of by-products and products unsuitable for human consumption.
- Provision of consulting services for sustainability and competitiveness.
Eligible Applicants
Businesses (natural or legal persons, associations, collective bodies) active in the processing of fishery and aquaculture products. Newly established (under formation) companies and enterprises larger than SMEs are not eligible.
