Business Intelligence Developer (Internship)
Brief description
MDC Stiakakis is seeking a curious, engaged, and motivated Business Intelligence Developer Intern, who is interested in learning and experiencing Business Intelligence from a very diverse and demanding business environment. The Business Intelligence Developer Intern will be intrigued by data, enjoy writing SQL, and have a passion for the how and why of conveying information.
The successful BI developer Intern should be able to understand both business and technical requirements and successfully translate them to BI solutions. Should be able to work in a team and most of all keen to dive into new concepts and tools.
Responsibilities
- Translate business needs to technical specifications.
- Design, build and deploy BI solutions.
- Create and maintain tools to store data.
- Conduct troubleshooting on BI models.
- Evaluate and improve existing BI models and systems.
- Modify existing queries.
- Modify existing Power BI dashboards to add new reports, visualizations.
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
- Develop and update technical documentation and user manuals.
- Using database data to generate reports to support business decision making and business performance monitoring.
- Perform quality assurance on reports.
- Adhere to industry and discipline best practices in analytical user experience, data modelling, query development, and documentation
Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program with the ability of an internship. Business oriented programs combined with technical knowledge is a strong plus.
- Software engineering knowledge required
- SQL knowledge required
- Have a passion for technology.
- Advanced analytical abilities & problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced English reading and writing skills
Strong Plus
- Experience in big data analysis
- Experience in DAX and M language
- Experience in BI tools & technologies (e.g. Power BI)
