Business subsidy for the employment of unemployed people aged 30 and over in the Regions in transition (MET), with emphasis on women

Creation of 5,000 new full-time jobs by hiring unemployed people, registered in the OAED unemployment register, aged 30 and over, with an emphasis on women.

Specifically, MET includes Western Macedonia, Central Greece, the Ionian Islands, the Peloponnese, the North Aegean and Crete.

Target Audience

Private companies and general employers of the private sector that carry out regular economic activity and are active in the 6 Regions in Transition of the country.

A prerequisite for the inclusion of a company in the action is that it has not reduced its staff during the last quarter before the date of submission of the application for funding.

The action does not include specific categories of companies, which are mentioned in detail in the Invitation.

The application for funding is submitted electronically to the State Aid Information System (PSE) of the Ministry of Development and Investment at the website www.ependyseis.gr / by selecting the relevant indication.

What is funded

Businesses are subsidized for each person under action from the date of recruitment for a period of 12 months.

Eligible expenses are given in the form of a grant and relate to the wage and non-wage costs of the beneficiary for 12 months of full-time employment including monthly gross earnings, employer insurance contributions as well as Christmas and Easter holiday allowances and leave allowances.

The maximum grant amount that a single company can receive from the action, can not exceed the amount of € 200,000, or € 100,000 when it operates in the field of road transport, subject to the cumulation conditions of EU Regulation 1407/2013.
