The new ESPA 2021-2027 was submitted

On Monday (12/7), the official submission of the new ESPA 2021-2027 took place. The submission of the program was carried out through the platform SFC2021 of the European Commission, followed by systematic and intensive cooperation and elaboration of the texts, both at national level through the Planning and Training Bodies of the ESPA, and with the competent Directorates of the Commission. The relevant documents are currently being approved. 

The approval for our country is expected to allocate a total amount of 26.2 billion euros for the next seven years, of which appropriations of 20.9 billion euros relate to the total Community participation. According to the Ministry of Development and Investment, Greece is the first member state to formally submit an ESPA program, called "Corporate Regional Development Pact 2021-2027". Regarding the rules for the implementation of the new ESPA, it is emphasized the absence of invitations with deadlines for submission of investment plans. The inclusion of the individual investment plans for the various programs of the new ESPA will be carried out in compliance with the order of priority (FIFO). 

According to the general secretary, Dimitris Skalkos: “The new Corporate Regional Development Pact 2021-2027 reflects the special conditions and needs of the country and sets priorities for strengthening the productive potential of the economy, infrastructure, human skills and the strengthening of social protection. Our timely preparation for the approval of the new programs will contribute to the recovery of the economy after the pandemic crisis and in combination with the resources of the Greece 2.0 plan will contribute to the start of a new cycle of prosperity for all of us".
